He is the founder of Visual Connections, an information technology consulting firm. Along with his team, Frederick recently launched Mile Marker 10, an e-learning platform centered around growing business in the government contracting space.

After nearly a decade of providing advanced web and application development services to both the private and public sector, Frederick Deese founded Visual Connections, an information technology consulting firm, in 2007. As Chief Executive Officer of the company, Fred is focused on new business development, overall company positioning, and client relationships. Under his dedicated, entrepreneurial leadership, Fred took the company from $70,000 in annual revenues to a multi-million dollar organization in less than 3 years. Since the company's inception, he has held project management positions on many prominent and complex commercial and government IT projects, personally providing the services that have made Visual Connections widely recognized by its customers for its innovative technologies and quality work.
Blake served as an Officer in the Marine Corps from 2008-2012. Following the Marines, he helped develop markets for Sage Glass, a green tech construction product that was acquired by Saint Gobain.
Blake is passionate about veteran entrepreneurship. His first company, Vet Commander, a video interviewing company connecting employers to veterans, led him to co-found Bunker Labs Austin and Nashville out of a personal need to build a stronger professional network. Bunker Labs, now a national not-for-profit, helps veterans and military spouse entrepreneurs across the nation.
Blake is also the co-founder of a safety product company, BreakAway Safety Solutions, which provides emergency exits for outdoor events making it easy to get fans out of fenced in events. BreakAway was developed after the mass shooting in Las Vegas and has been deployed at the Country Music Association Festival, the Chicago Marathon, and more.
Blake is recent a George W. Bush Institute Scholar in the Stand-To Veterans Leadership Program.
