Bunker Brews Virtual: How Do We Enhance Our Defense Community?

Rapid City
Tue, Jul 28, 2020, 10:00 AM (MDT)

About this event

With a mission to partner, promote, prepare, and protect Ellsworth Air Force Base, SDEDA has helped to bring a Bunker Labs chapter to Rapid City and has now launched Black Hills Wire. A resource to both Air Force and National Guard servicemen and women, along with their families, the Wire is filled with information and resources to get plugged into area organizations, use available discounts, and meet other people in the area.

The South Dakota Ellsworth Development Authority was created by the South Dakota Legislature in March of 2009 with the following mission:

  • To make sure that the great state of South Dakota is always a great place for the U.S. Department of Defense to conduct its essential national defense mission at Ellsworth Air Force Base.
  • To work hand in hand with local governments, the private sector and property owners to promote the health and safety of those living or working near the base.
  • To protect and promote the economic impact of Ellsworth Air Force Base and associated industry.
  • To work with the Base and local communities to prepare for additional growth in missions at Ellsworth Air Force Base.

This event is part of Bunker Brews, a monthly meetup (virtual for the time being) where the Bunker Labs community, including veterans, military spouses, and civilians, comes together to network with subject matter experts, investors, thought leaders, and more in an environment focused on growth and development.
